Our company was created when we discovered our passion for serving individuals and families in one of the biggest milestones most people will reach. Our personal experience in the homebuying process was stressful, unpleasant, and gut-wrenching which drove us to providing our clients with the best process and experience possible. Who we are:

We are Michael and Hilary Sherwood, founders of Dash Mortgage Company! We are a licensed mortgage lender Bellingham WA with a deep rooted passion for helping individuals and families like you navigate one of the biggest financial purchases of your life or utilizing it to help with other financial goals like the purchase of a home! Whether you are first time home buyers, seasoned real estate investors, or refinancers, we are here to help you! Meet Hilary:

I was originally born in South Korea and was adopted when I was just three months old by my wonderful parents– calling Lynden, Washington my hometown ever since. I have been in the banking industry for the last 13 years. I worked for a really wonderful financial institution, local to the community I grew up in (and still live in). From working on the front line, assisting in managing a call center, to fighting fraud in the fraud department – I have had an incredible 13 year long privilege to experience a lot in the banking world! While I really enjoyed what I did day in and day out, I was led to pursue a new career path – something that not only fit myself better but fit my family and our lifestyle better.

As a wife and a mom of two young boys, I know firsthand the importance of trying to design a lifestyle that allows you to be fully present in the moments that matter the most. My kids are growing before my eyes and it’s important to me that I am there for every special moment of their childhood! As all moms know – it all goes by way too fast! My husband of 9 years has been a business owner as long as I have known him and I have finally joined the business owner club as a mortgage lender Bellingham WA! It was important and a really high priority to us to find a niche for me that made sense and allowed our careers to align seamlessly and effortlessly – and that is how Dash Mortgage Company came to be! It is also the name of my husband’s land development company where he develops land into beautiful neighborhoods and constructs new residential homes, duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes (you name it!) for new homeowners to purchase and call home! And that is where I come in as your mortgage lender Bellingham WA to assist the homebuyers in purchasing these beautiful new residences all over Washington state!

Meet Michael:

Hello, my name is Michael. I have been a Washingtonian my whole life. I am a jack of all trades, master of a few, husband, and father of two and son to the best dad ever. I have worked as a refinery worker, electrician, tree service company, civil contractor, land developer, home builder, and love doing every one of them. My hobbies include snowmobiling, working on heavy equipment, being up in the mountains, hunting, fishing and vacationing with my family. Since having my own business at the age of 22 years old, it has always been a very difficult process to get loans for purchases. When we purchased our first home, it felt like someone was scratching the chalkboard and it was never going to be. That is why we started Dash Mortgage Company, a trusted mortgage lender Bellingham WA, to assist people like us in finding the best solution for their mortgage.

Outside of work you can find us spending quality time with our kids – just busy raising empowered little boys in this crazy world (a full time job on it’s own!) We really enjoy having the opportunity to take a long weekend away and camping with family and friends in the summer at one of our favorite places, Twisp, WA. An incredible piece of property along the Methow River that we are so lucky we get to enjoy multiple times a year! We love snowmobiling in the winter, searching for the best snow in the mountains of Washington state and Idaho.¨
